The Microsoft SharePoint team plans to begin rolling out new features of the Dynamics CRM & SharePoint Online integration this November. Hopefully by the time December rolls around, all data centers will be able to leverage the new features being offered.
The main issue preventing the integration from functioning properly was apparently a script restriction on embedding SharePoint Online inside of the CRM 2011 application – this issue is resolved by downloading the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 List Component. Once the List Component is installed, SharePoint Online document management functionality from within the CRM application is available.
For more information on how to install the List Component, view the MSCRM Team Blog post. To download the List Component, click here to go to the Download Center on the Microsoft website.
